updated favorite girl dresses under $5

Happy Saturday Everyone!

The weather is screaming summer over here and that means are dress game is going strong!

I've blogged about these favorites before (see that post here) but since there are new styles I just had to share again!

When I first blogged about these awesome dresses from H & M Cailee was my only kiddo wearing them. These dresses have quickly become Charlotte's favorites since she got some hand-me-downs from big sis and then her own too!

I kid you not every time I check out the store they have a new print and with the $4.99 price tag I don't feel bad stocking up!

The new prints(check them out here) are perfect for summer!

Fun fact: For my mommas with multiple girls...these dresses come in sizes 1yr to 10yr!
Twinning for cheap...your welcome ;)

my favorite apps

Today I wanted to share with you guys my favorite apps!

I use all three of these apps on the daily and the photos below are real screenshots from my phone!

First up is...

| Shopkick |

So this app came into my life in form of a competition! My sister introduced me to this app and it quickly became a competition between us! We wanted to see who could get the most kicks! Surprisingly out of the two of us, I still use the app!
With this app you get reward points by doing various things like...walking into a specific store, scanning items, or buying everyday items! After you get a certain amount of kicks/points you can redeem them for gift cards!

For example: Today I walked into Target so I opened up the app when I was walking in and the app registered this action (by bluetooth) and I got 25 kicks for just walking in!

As you can see All-Time Kicks I have are 63,428!!! I've redeemed my kicks for Target, Old Navy and Starbucks gift cards!

Easy "money" :) and I get to indulge in my Starbucks!

Interested in signing up?!! Follow this link here

*With that referral code I get a certain amount of kicks"points" when you join!*

Next up is...

| Receipt Hog |

With this app you just take a picture of your receipt from Target or the grocery store and you get "coins". After you get a certain amount of coins you can redeem them for Amazon gift cards or direct payment to your PayPal account! As you can see below I've redeemed a few of my points for PayPal cash! I take pictures of almost all my receipts!

No referral code necessary for this app! Just download and get started!

Lastly is...

| Ibotta |

With the Ibotta app you basically get a rebate on items purchased from various stores! For example I shop at Target and Ralphs a lot when I get home I check the Ibotta app to see if anything I purchased is up on the app for rebate. If the item is on the app all I have to do is snap a picture of the receipt and scan said item! I just redeemed $20 which I had transferred to my PayPal account!

Interested in trying Ibotta?! Follow the link here!

*With that referral code I get a $5 bonus when you join!*

Do you have any good apps you like?! Please share them in the comments below!

judging a book by its cover

I don't like to judge a book by its cover except when it comes to kid books.

There is something about the artwork on the covers that just draw me in!

During our little trip to Barnes and Noble yesterday I took pictures of my current favorite kid books!!

one | two | three | four

five | six | seven | eight

If you think the covers are beautiful the content inside is even better!
We enjoyed sipping our drinks and cuddling in the corner reading all of these books.

We brought two home and can't wait to add the rest to our collection soon :)

I love checking out new books with the girls so leave me a comment with your current favorite books!!

Barnes and Noble Kids' Club

I am a lover of books and luckily so are my girls!

Although I don't get much time to enjoy a great new book, I always make time to read to my little ones.

So it has become a part of our routine to visit Barnes and Noble on our spare time!
Those rare weekend days when we have absolutely nothing to do, you can always find us in the kids section of B&N.

The thing I love most about B&N(and something not many people know about), is their Kids' Club program!

Okay so I am letting you in on one of their best kept secrets!

This program is absolutely FREE!

Sign up online or in the store(in the kids section)!

Once you sign up you will receive:

- A plastic membership card.
- A one time 30% off coupon on any one kid's book or toy for your child.
- A $5 reward for every $100 you spend on kids' stuff online and in the stores!
- A free cupcake from their cafe for all your children's birthdays.

How awesome is this?!?!

I mean after all your going to be buying your kiddos books anyways right?? Might as well get some kind of rewards back!!

Now its off to the book store we go, wish me luck I am two kids deep and have no back up!

Minnie + Mickey Mouse party favors

The party favors for Charlotte's birthday party were easily my favorite part of the party prep. They were quick and easy to pull off and the kids loved them!

I bought the kraft paper bags from Hobby Lobby and glued the Mickey + Minnie cut outs from Dimenchon's Delightful Designs on them and voila a completely custom favor bag.

The kiddos went home with a custom Mickey Mouse coloring book, Mickey/Minnie Ears, gummie snacks and a custom cookie

The custom Mickey Mouse coloring books are from Dixie Delights Blog on Etsy and they were such a big hit with the littles :) If you haven't check out Amanda's blog you absolutely have to and if your a fellow disney lover you won't be disappointed!

The Mickey and Minnie ears were a steal from Amazon

And I can never have a party with custom cookies from Mpressive Creations!

free summer fun

With summer vacation just around the corner I have been brainstorming various ways to keep my littles entertained. Sure we have some mini vacations planned but for the most part our days are free for adventure.

When I am on the hunt for fun activities to do with the kiddos my number one criteria is that it has to be free or reasonably affordable! You would be surprised to find how many things you could do with your kids that cost nothing. All it takes is a little bit of time and research.

Aside from the main "go to" like the park, I absolutely love going to the library! Who knew?!
My local library offers so many fun free activities for all age groups. Dare I say it's almost like a one stop shop!

My local library offers the following events:

Youth Chess Club
Baby and Toddler Storytime
Bilingual Storytime
Just 2's and 3's Storytime
School Readiness Storytime
- a program designed to get 3-5 year olds ready for school -
Yoga Basics for Adult
Senior Creative Writing

And that is only a few of the events they have to offer!

I encourage you to check out your local library this summer.

And if you don't know what to do with that extra money your saving yourself this summer check out my friends at Personal Capital (where you can get a head start on retirement planning).

If you have any fun tips on having some free summer fun please share in the comments below!

I'll leave ya with a picture of my little family a few summers back :)

Happy Monday Everyone!
