Oogie Boogie Bash T-shirt Ideas

I was one of the gazillion Disney fans in July anxiously waiting online to buy the
Oogie Boogie Bash event tickets!

After a long 8 hours we snagged our tickets!!

Now we are counting down the days until we are skipping around California Adventure next month!

My kids had no hesitations when selecting their costumes for this event.

I am a totally different story lol

I took to Etsy right away and found hundreds of awesome Disney inspired gear to wear!

I have finally narrowed down my choices to these six great t-shirt options...

If your loving these cute shirts you can find them following the links below:

Check back in a couple of weeks to see which t-shirt style was the "chosen one"!

five on friday

Happy 1st day of June everyone!!

Let's kick this month off with a Five on Friday...

| one |

I always get so excited on the first day of this because it means its the start of my birthday month.
My birthday is June 20th and this year we will be celebrating it on vacation woo hoo!!!

Yesterday Cailee had her school Spring Concert and it was awesome! The theme was the 1950s, so all the kids went dressed up and they looked adorable! Weeks leading up to this event I would hear Cailee in her room practicing their songs. Her practicing paid off and she belted out all the songs with a big smile on her face!

On a long solo stroll down the aisles of Target I found these Que Bella gel eye masks and love them!
$2.99 for a pack of 3
I wear them for 20-30 minutes and I swear the bags under my eyes brighten up after each use!

We have lived at our house for 4 years now and we are finally giving our master bedroom a much needed makeover! These "You keep me safe, I'll keep you wild" printable I found while browsing Pinterest inspired the makeover! I mean I couldn't put these up in the room the way it was so obviously a makeover was the only reasonable thing to do!

PS this is how the previous owner styled the master bedroom

A few weeks ago I took Charlotte to Travel Town and we spent the morning checking out trains and riding the small train! I bought her a Thomas the train whistle she just had to have and now I completely relate to this meme!

Harry Potter inspired invitations

A few weeks back I shared with you my Harry Potter themed 30th birthday party (see it here) and completely forgot to show you the invitations! I love invitations and feel like they really set the tone for the event! It was only fair that these beauties get a post all to themselves.

The invitations were made to look like the real Marauder Map you see in the Harry Potter films! I purchased the digital personalized invitation from this Etsy Shop (Gilmourdesigns).
The invitation was a printable item and I printed everything at home and assembled it myself!

It was truly time consuming but was absolutely so worth it! I loved it and my guests enjoyed getting this piece of magic in the mail!

Each invitation was printed on three individual resume papers, cut, glued and assembled with love!

My first attempt was done using regular computer paper to make sure I got it done right! After the first one I knew exactly what to do and it made the assembly process much quicker!

Once folded together I tied the "map" in twine!

If you look at the bottom left of this photo you will see my footprints on the map!
Little details like this make me swoon!

Once completely opened the invitation looked like this! You could also find the whereabouts of Harry and Hermione!

And because detail is everything to me...I had to wax seal each envelope with the official Hogwarts Seal!

Oh and yes these are Harry Potter stamps!!!!

I found the Hogwarts seal kit and stamps at Universal Studios in Los Angeles.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my invites as much as I did :)

Is it too soon to throw another Harry Potter themed party!?!

my Harry Potter themed 30th birthday party

Last week I turned the big 3-0 and we celebrated it in such a magical way.

I threw myself a Harry Potter themed party and it was everything!!!!

I spent weeks upon weeks finalizing details, crafting party goodies and collecting items for our costumes!

Yes...I told guest they could come dressed up as their favorite characters or in their best Hogwarts gear! And to my surprise almost everyone (minus two people) came dressed up!!

When you first walked into the house you found yourself at Platform 9 3/4! Guests made their way right through the brick wall :)

If guests weren't quite ready to take a trip on the Hogwarts Express, they were welcomed to lounge near the owl post!

Party goers were in for a special treat in the restroom. Its not every day you get a visit from Moaning Myrtle!

The cake and treats table was by far one of my favorite details of the party. From the floating candles that lit up the room to the chocolate frogs. I loved putting everything together :) I think it would have even made Ron proud!

As you made your way through to the patio guests were transported to potion's class!
Guests could pick a "potion" to make to help get their party on!

The hubs suggested we get dry ice to really make our potion's class feel authentic and boy was it awesome!!

Of course I had to dress up as my favorite character...Luna Lovegood. My husband dressed up in Slytherin school uniform.

And Cailee dressed up as her favorite character Hermione! She wore the dress Hermione wore to the yule ball. To say she is obsessed with the dress is an understatement. So happy I was able to score it on Ebay totally brand new.

This little gem of a Snapchat filter was a big hit at the party!

No house party is complete without quidditch pong and a dj!

The night was one for the books!

five on friday pet edition

Happy Friday Everyone!
If you happened to read yesterday's post than you know that we are trying to adopt a beautiful little Cocker Spaniel named Hannah!
And if you haven't already noticed I tend to get overly excited about things and start planning almost immediately.
So it only makes sense to make today's Five on Friday the pet edition :)

| one |

This personalized dog tag inspired by Lilly Pulitzer is just the cutest. This Etsy shop has so many other personalized dog tag options it is really hard to pick a favorite!

| two |

Another Etsy shop that I came across makes these dog bed pillow covers. They have four different cover sizes and even more color options!

| three |

I was on Pottery Barns website looking for some throw pillows and my mind wandered. Next thing I know I am looking at pet products. I found this Pet Bowl and Stand that just looks so fancy lol! Yep because dogs care what they eat out of right?!

| four |

I was looking into dog beds and came across this bed on Amazon and thought this dog bed looks like its more comfortable than my own couch! The bed is a bit out of our price range but its too nice not to share.

| five |

I am all for car safety when having a pet in the vehicle but I had no idea such a product existed. Browsing on Petsmart and I came across dog car booster seats and I couldn't help but laugh! I thought I only had to worry about the girls car seats not the dog. Giggles aside I think this product is actually pretty cool and will definitely get one for our future pet!

Join in on the link up fun!

All the dog parents out there I'd love to hear about your favorite dog products!

Have a great weekend everyone :)
