cailee's baby room

I have been a mom of two for about three months now and am finally getting into sometime of routine. I use the term "routine" very loosely. However one thing that manages to creep its way out of our routine is nap time. So when both girls nap at the same time I feel like I just one the lottery.

So what does this momma do with her two hours of glorious silence you ask? Well it certainly isn't wasted on things that matter like cleaning bottles and doing laundry.

You see the moments when I get to just sit down and do nothing during the day are very and I mean very rare. So when the opportunity presents itself I take full advantage.

So let's get to what this post is really about, shall we?

The other day while both girls napped this momma whipped out her lap top and started organizing photos(I know what you're thinking this woman is a wild one).  I came across photos of my oldest daughters baby room from our old condo.

To this day it is still one of my favorite rooms.

Our condo was very and I mean very gender neutral so with Cailee's room I pretty much went to town with the "girliest" of the "girliest" stuff I could find.

Now I present to you Cailee's baby room...

The chevron wall took me a good long week to paint and was my absolute favorite part of her room.

The "Cailee" canvas artwork was such a fun and easy diy project. It really added a special personalized touch to her room.

We constantly changed the photos on her dresser and always let her pick the photos. It was always so fun to see what photos she picked and really made her feel included in the decision making .

The silhouette was Cailee at the age of two. We had one made when she turned one as well with a silhouette artist from San Diego, CA.

Her coloring table was by far her favorite spot in her room.

The Rapunzel and Sofia the First book are from her 1st and 2nd birthday. We used them as guest books and they were showcased in her room all year long. I always added in another book/books for the different holidays going on at the time.

The artwork is very special. The "Cailee" Rapunzel inspired artwork was gifted to her on her first birthday by my sister. The Alice in Wonderland artwork was also used in her older cousins nursery many years ago.
