Easy St. Patrick's Day Class Treats

Popping in today to share some cute treats with you!

I wanted to do something for Cailee's class to celebrate St. Patrick's Day that wasn't all just sweet treats!

After just a few seconds of walking the aisles of Party City with my 6 year old we agreed on the goodies!

We came to a perfect compromise a little fun and a little sweet.

I suggested some cute stickers and sunglasses, which were both approved by the boss!

And we compromised by getting some gold chocolate coins!

We were both pleased with the selection of goodies and I am sure the kiddos will enjoy these little baggies!

The tags are from Eighteen 25! They are free printables and come with different sayings. 

All I did was edit the font colors to green to give it a little something extra!

I got these stickers, they came in a pack of 5 sheets but you can cut them in half and get more out of it!

I got these sunglasses for $5.99 and 12 come in a pack.

The gold coins were from Party City too for like 12 cents each! I literally stood there and counted 72!

Oh ps I got the clear bags at Party City too for $3.99 for a 25 count BUT I was at the Dollar Tree and they had the same clear bags for $1 for a 25 count!

Can't wait to give these to the littles ones and see what they think!

Diy Cookie Decorating Kit

As Cailee's class Room Parent I get the honor of attending and planning their class parties!

I knew their Christmas party would be a little hectic because they would be exchanging gifts so I opted to make their special treats a "to-go" item! 

So I put together these cookie decorating kits.

They loved them and were so eager to get home and decorate their cookies and of course gobble them all up at lighting speed!

These kits were ridiculously easy to put together and I made my life even easier by ordering the majority of the items online! I already had so many Christmas excursions to make so hunting down these items was not in the cards!

I grabbed the decorative Christmas baggies at the Dollar Tree.

The cookies,frosting and sprinkles were purchased at my local Albertsons.

Everything else I ordered on Amazon!

The cute little tags were a free printable I was able to get off of Pinterest!

I love how they turned out and can't wait to attempt this next year with mini gingerbread houses!

room parent {easy end of year gift for the kiddos}

With the school year coming to an end so is my time as room parent. 

I wanted to give the kids a special end of the year gift, that could also serve as a keepsake!

I thought long and hard about this even though you could say its a no brainer.

A class photo was the best keepsake option for the kids and for their parents! Double win!!

I found these rectangle unfinished frames for less than $1 at Walmart. I already had the paint and permanent marker needed for this little project. It really does pay to stock up on arts and crafts items ;)

During Charlotte's nap time I was able to paint all 17 frames and believe it or not they only need one coat of paint. 

I added the school name(edited out of photo) on top of the frame and class year at the bottom.

I got the sand buckets at the Dollar Tree and the frames fit perfectly inside! I also added bubbles and a bag of snacks!

The other TK room parent and I coordinated so all our kiddos would get their end of the year gifts together!

These gifts were a big hit with both the kids and their parents!

Not really sure how I will top this next year but I can't wait to try ;)

end of the year class party inspiration

The closer we get to the last day of school the more in denial I get! 

This year flew by faster than I ever imagined it could. 

One of my last room parent tasks is the End of the Year Class Party!

The other TK room parent and I are joining forces to throw one big party for our little ones!

I absolutely love how busy I am right now. Planning this party and getting all the goodies taken care of has completely distracted me from the fact that my first born will be turning 5 and entering Kindergarten. 

I originally planned to stick with the class cute monster theme for the party but then I saw the cutest sun balloon from Party City! Then one thing after another and I was consumed by the idea of summer. Bright fun colors screams summer and that's exactly what I want this party to look like.

I put together this little inspiration board, mostly because it just makes me smile ;)

I am putting together little goodie baskets for the kids that will include the beach pail, bubbles, goldfish crackers and a picture frame with a picture of the whole class! 

The teachers end of year gift however has me completely stumped! And I have already done plenty of Pinterest searching and am still at a lost. So if you have any suggestions at all please please please let me know!

Ps I am already dreaming of summer, margaritas and s'mores ;)

sailing into kindergarten

This school year is quickly coming to an end, which means my year as room parent is also coming to an end! To say I am shocked at how quickly this school year has flown would be an understatement.

I still have a few more room parent duties and this was one of them.

I had the pleasure of creating the year end classroom bulletin board.

Cailee's teacher told me what she wanted the bulletin to read and let me

take it from there!

I am pretty darn pleased with the result and so are the 17 little's that will be "sailing into kindergarten" in just a few short months!

thanksgiving class party

Today I had the pleasure of hosting the thanksgiving class party at my daughter's school. Which is one of my main duties as room parent. To say the party was a success would be a huge understatement. The  kids had a great time and it truly showed as each child had a smile from ear to ear. 

As room parent I was given a party fund of $90 which is $5 per child (which we pay in a general fee before school starts). I was able to get a great deal at our local KFC. Each child got a kid's meal which included two pieces of grilled chicken, side of macaroni and cheese, a biscuit, cookie and a Capri Sun.  

I couldn't resist making the kiddos these adorable turkey cupcakes that I pinned years ago!

I also made them these little turkey lunch sacks and thanksgiving coloring books.

The kids made their own place mats that helped decorate the tables and I just added my little turkey pumpkin centerpiece.

So thankful to be room parent to 18 of the best kiddos around!

school week { room parent }

I knew I wanted to be a room parent for Cailee's class way before she even started school(like since before she was even born). So you better believe I was counting down the days until it was time to sign up. I did everything that was required to be a room parent and turned in my paperwork a whole month before school started. What can I say I am quite persistent when I really want something. 
As much as I wanted this opportunity I knew there could be a possibility that I wouldn't be chosen and that was fine with me too. Regardless if I got the "job" or not I promised that I would help out as much as I could. 
So when I got the email saying I was selected to be room parent I was overjoyed. Yep I called my husband, mom and sister to inform them of the big news they knew I was anxiously awaiting. You would have thought I won the lottery or something. In all honesty these kind of things are such a big deal to me. 
The night I found out I was room parent I went straight to work on my special "room parent binder". After all I would be attending a meeting that same week and I wanted to be prepared. I couldn't help myself, when I get excited about something I go into a 110%. 
After all I have two little ones that are watching every move I make. I want them to grow up knowing that if they want something or commit to something they need to give it their all. 
I busted out all my tips and tricks from my secret board on Pinterest and came up with the cutest room parent binder ever (so says my daughter).
